Back on the bombing run: One of the last two flying Lancasters pays tribute to the 55,000 Bomber Boys who never returned with flight on the route thousands of sorties took to target the Nazis

For the 55,000 brave aircrew who lost their lives in the Second World War, it would have been their final view of England, soaring high above the North Lincolnshire countryside. In tribute, one of the world's last two airworthy Lancasters takes the same route over Bomber Country - where some 389,000 sorties were flown by Bomber Command between 1939 and 1945. The exclusive MailOnline pictures and video were captured from a light aircraft flying alongside the 69ft-long Canadian bomber, flying in formation much how the legendary bombers would have done as Britain fought for survival and - eventually - victory.

The video, too graphic to be published in full, first shows dozens of men being marched through the desert and made to chant in Arabic. It then fades to black and resumes on images of a vast line of at least 150 bodies. An Islamic State fighter said 250 were slaughtered and they were from the Taqba air base in Syria, which was the government's last stronghold in Raqqa province until extremists seized it on Sunday. Human Rights Watch described the shocking video as 'another ISIS war crime' as another chilling image showed seven soldiers from the base at the moment of their execution (inset).

Yaakov Marom let the flat in Hendon, north London, for £420 a month but his tenants had to slither up a cramped staircase and through a hatch (left and centre). He had already been prohibited from letting the second-floor flat in February 2012 - but police and council officers found it was still being used by a couple last September. Willesden Magistrates fined Marom £1,500 and made him pay £1,540 in costs and a victim surcharge. Barnet Council's housing committee chairman Tom Davey said: 'Those who exploit tenants for financial gain will not be tolerated.' Newlywed dies of cervical cancer aged 26 after being denied a smear test by doctors THREE times because she was 'too young'

Newlywed
Dawn Weston, 26, from East Sussex, began suffering from excruciating back pain in December 2012 when she was 24. Despite asking three times for a smear test, doctors repeatedly said she was too young,' her family claim. By the time she was eventually diagnosed - having insisted on a test - a course of treatment was only briefly successful and she was given the devastating news last December that the cancer was terminal. She and her fiancé Dan, desperate to marry before it was too late, moved their July wedding to January, planning their dream day in just five weeks. Four months later, on May 22, Miss Weston passed away, surrounded by family and friends. Her devastated widower is now campaigning for the cervical screening limit to be lowered, to help prevent other young women suffering in the same way. He said: 'During treatment her beautiful hair started coming out in clumps and her face became bloated. But nothing could take away her smile. She wished she had a smear test earlier and even though lowering the age wouldn't help her, she was keen to try and help others. That was the type of person she was, completely selfless and caring.'
